Cold, beautiful, deadly. This one definitely gets the award for most accurate album name. Very addicting and rewarding to listen to, Fen manages to make 17-minute songs pass gracefully. The softer passages are like sinking slowly and comfortably into several meters of snow. Perfect for a long train ride through snow-covered mountains.

Why this song? I feel a bit of Drudkh in the main riffing, the lesson of Moonsorrow, the typical immortal heavy metal love for a great guitar work with powerful beams through the strings-highways of music. Above all, I feel a band with a frontal genuine approach to their music. They captured me, I will capture their entire discography. (and yes, Quorthon gave MORE than his music to the scene).
